A counter-intuitive yet more efficient way to create software products is to work backwards. And this applies for both the Product and the Development side:

• Write a press release long before you’re ready to launch

• Launch before you have built the product

• Write tests before you’ve written the code, etc!

Indeed, MVP is a lovely idea but it can also be a tricky beast. Many are doing it wrong, but here is a lovely list of options for creating a fast, efficient MVP. Which ones have you already tried, and which one would you pick for your next feature or product?

It’s all about People

As startups grow, upper management can get disconnected from the rest of the team and newer and younger employees feel disengaged. To help prevent this, what about creating a ‘shadow board’, with a clear goal of challenging and transforming the startup throughout its growth? A great idea which could be put in place at a pretty early stage.
