The 5-Minute Startup CTO #12
More and earlier product management, Growing engineers, VC investors
Here are your picks for this week:
Something to try
How soon should a startup hire its first dedicated Product Manager? A lot earlier than people think in Europe, as it turns out. IMHO I would definitely second that, as well as maintaining a relatively high ratio of PM to Engineers. Product management is far from being a luxury!
(Can’t wait for the second part of this article mini-series, by Steve Crossan, who I had the pleasure to work with in the early days of Runtime Collective - now known as Brandwatch)
It’s all about People
A key area of development for Engineers is to better understand the Product they are creating - and to get more ownership of what they build, as a result. This good article explains this further and is worth sharing with your team.
Something to know

I hope you enjoyed this. Have a great week!
