Welcome to the last issue of the 5-Minute Startup CTO of 2019!
Here are your picks for this week:
⌨️ If it ain’t code, don’t fix it
InfoQ has put together a pretty solid retrospective of 2019, including software trends, tech talks and a few predictions for 2020. Well worth a read, quite a lot to dig through!
👩💻 It’s all about People
As a startup CTO (or tech lead), your role most likely touches on or even encompasses product leadership. Now that comes with having to handle pretty interesting ‘political’ situations, and ProductPlan goes through 7 such cases, with solutions.
🔄 Process makes perfect
Time for New Year resolutions then. A personal suggestion: try and do less. With more customers / colleagues / lines of code / etc, the temptation will be strong to just try and do more. But there’s only so much anybody, or any team, can do well at any point in time. So reduce your Work In Progress to be more impactful.
I hope you enjoyed this. Here’s to a great 2020!
