Here are your highlights for this week:
Something to try
Fund-raising is a rite of passage for most if not all startups. Any help with this is welcome, especially if it comes from Peter Thiel, who should know a thing or two about startup funding! So here is a nice introduction to his template for creating a great pitch deck.
Know thyself
Please meet Bob, that little part of your mind where doubt and negativity fester. Acknowledging that it exists, to keep it in check and to get on with working happily and productively, is great advice.
It’s all about People
Even in small teams, communication can often break down, especially on what genuinely matters: the bigger picture. So if you’re planning to do something, or to change direction, make an effort to radiate intent - to your manager, your colleagues, your team. Very good advice, well explained.
“Get into the habit of signaling every time you change direction. Signal even when you do not see anyone else around. It is easy to miss someone who needs to know what you are doing.”
I hope you enjoyed this. Have a great week!
