Here are your picks for this week:
Process makes perfect
How many hours do you spend dealing with emails, every day? It may well feel like too many, so how to address this and restore some balance to your day-to-day?
Let’s start with inbox zero, which I have been happily using for many years now. The key point for me being to batch up your emailing into 2 or 3 sessions a day, and finishing each day with an empty inbox.
Another tip: keep emails down to 5 sentences at most. Anything more (and any long exchange) ought to be a chat instead.
It’s all about People
Intellectual humility is a great trait to have, a key part of adopting a growth mindset. This great video from Daniel Pink covers this subject well and succinctly. Definitely worth making this part of your startup’s culture!
Something to think about
User experience should be as smooth as possible, right? Not so simple, as shown by this article on how to break down UI flows. Smooth doesn’t always mean the fewest screens, or the less information.
I hope this was useful. Have a great week!
