The 5-Minute Startup CTO #82
Hiring for weaknesses, Scaling sustainably, Product chat, One-man architecture
Hi there,
I hope you’re well - here’s your 4 tips for this week:
👭 People
Benji Weber takes on a very interesting approach to recruitment: rather than looking for top talent, hire for weaknesses.
Meaning: instead of aiming to judge candidates’ ability in the abstract, look out for the person who will best match your team’s weaknesses. Which makes a lot of sense, especially for early-stage, relatively small teams.
🔄 Process
A good panel discussion organised by LeadDev, on scaling sustainably. Too many good points to summarise here, so have a watch!
🥫 Product
Nice visual summary of the main points from a fireside chat on Product Management:
⌨️ Tech
Last but not least, Anthony Najjar Simon put together a very detailed description of the architecture behind his one-man-band SaaS startup. Might trigger an idea or two!
Until next time, have a great week
